U.S. Census affect the number of members in the House of Representatives
from each state? You’re on a mission to find out! Don’t forget to bring your
math tool kit. This adventure will appeal to your “census.”
What You’ll Do
Research the history of the United States Census. Find the population
of the United States in the years 2000 and 2010. Also, fi nd the number
of members in the House of Representatives for each state. Examine
the relationship between population and the number of House of
Representatives members. Finally, create a presentation of your fi ndings.
