Kruszwica 2009

5 th EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES ROWING CHAMPIONSHIP

70 Universities from 14 European countries, 353 Athletes
and 57 Officials participated on the 5th European Universities
Championship held in Kruszwica, Poland. The hard working
Organising Committee delivered an outstanding event, in-
cluding for the first time at EUSA-Rowing live, multi-camera,
national TV coverage of the Finals. Racing was again of the
highest standard with several athletes coming to compete at
EUSA from the World Championships. Record times were set
in nearly half of the events. The overall strength of the Pol-
ish university crews, especially the Bydgoszcz crews, was very
impressive. Poland won with 211 points the nations’ overall.
Belgium, Lithuania and Norway made their first appearances
at EUSA Rowing, a sign that the event still continues to grow.
