CHAMPIONSHIP

The first EUSA event ever organised in Croatia was the 7th Eu-

ropean Universities Volleyball Championship that took place

from July 16 to 23, 2007 in Rijeka. A new record in participa-

tion was set, as 20 men and 15 women university teams from

17 European countries participated on the event, which was

organised by the Rijeka Organising Committee and the Croa-

tian University Sports Federation. The titles of the European

Universities Champions went to the Russian State University

of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism in women’s com-

petition and Gazi University in men’s competition.
