6 th EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY VOLLEYBALL
CHAMPIONSHIP

The 6th European University Volleyball Championship was or-
ganised in the City of Eindhoven from July 2 to 9, 2006, as
a part of the first major EUSA multi sport event. This year’s
women’s championship included 13 teams, with the men’s
team increased to 19 teams. This presented a new record
participation in the EUSA Volleyball Championships. In the
women’s competition the Eindhoven University of Technol-
ogy won with La Sapienza University the runners up, and in
the men’s competition the host teams became winners after
winning against the Surgut State University. The event was
not just hard work and no fun, since there were also many
interesting social activities organised, like workshops, film
evening, Eindhoven sightseeing and student’s parties.
