3 rd EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Students from Novi Sad won the first two editions of the

European University Futsal Championship. In 2006, they got

a chance to repeat their success in front of the home specta-

tors, as the 3rd edition of the event was held in Novi Sad, Ser-

bia. 14 male university teams from 12 countries participated

at the championship that was organised by the University

Sports Federation of Serbia and University Sports Federation

of Novi Sad from July 16 to 24, 2006. Competition took

place at Sports and Business Centre Vojvodina. The Organis-

ing Committee took a large number of activities in order to

promote the championship in the best possible manner. The

well visited tribunes were a proof that they succeeded, espe-

cially in the finals where the University of Ljubljana managed

to defeat the University of Zagreb.
