5 th EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The 5th European Universities Futsal Championship was held

from July 14 to 19, 2008 in Wroclaw, Poland. On the Open-

ing Ceremony held in the University School of Physical Edu-

cation Sports Hall the spectators could welcome 16 Univer-

sity teams from 13 European countries that participated in

the event. The organisers of the event were AZS Poland and

AZS Wroclaw. The title of the champions moved to the west-

ern part of Europe, to Spain. It was the University of Malaga

who won in the finals the actual champions from the Dnipro-

petrovsk State Finance Academy 5:0. The third place went to

Academy of Health Education in Lodz who defeated in the

match for the bronze the University of Montenegro 7:4.
