1 st EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

The 1st European University Handball Championship was
held in Besançon, France from June 26 to July 1, 2006. The
French University Sports Federation welcomed 11 men and
7 women university teams from 11 European countries to
participate in the event. The first titles of the European Uni-
versities Champions went to the host team of Besançon in
men’s, and the University of Piotrkow Trybunalski in wom-
en’s competition.
