ThegrungsofDungrunglung(map 2. 5 )toilunderthe
tyrannyoftheirdespoticking,Groak,whoisobsessedwith
summoningthegoddessNangnangandmatingwithher.To
pleasetheirking,thegrungshaveerecteda 60 - foot-tallmud
shrine,whereGroakplanstowoothegoddessandwhereshe,
inturn,canblesshimwithgenerationsofgod-touched,royal
Groaklings.
Althoughgrungsaretraditionallyscheming,greedy,and
generallyunpleasanttodealwith,thegrungsofDungrunglung
areexperiencingdesperatetimes.Ghoulsandzombies
threatentheirexistence,andgrungpoisonisineffective
againsttheundead.Consequently,thegrungsarestrongly
incentivizedtouseoutsiderstosolvetheirundeadproblem
insteadofmakingslavesormealsoutofthem.
KingGroakholdsabsoluteswayinDungrunglung,andhis
subjectsfollowhisorderswithoutquestion.However,should
thebalanceofpowershiftfirmlytoKrr’ookorRoark(seethe
“GrungsofDungrunglung”sidebar),thegrungsdonothesitate
totearGroaklimbfromlimbinacatharticfrenzy.Atsome
