Honey

camomile

moon

milk

By Taylor Harbin*

INGREDIENTS
250ml milk of choice • 2
tsp dried camomile buds •
1 tsp ghee • 1 tsp honey, or
more to taste (or sweetener
of choice, though honey
pairs particularly well with
the flavour of camomile) •
pinch of Himalayan pink
salt • 1 tsp tocos

METHOD
1 | Add the milk to a small
saucepan over a medium
heat. Bring to a gentle
simmer, then turn off the
heat and add the camomile
buds. Allow to steep for
about 5 mins.
2 | Strain the mixture,
pushing on the buds with
the back of a spoon to
release all of the oils.
3 | Pour the milk into a
blender along with the
rest of the ingredients and
blitz for about 1 min until
frothy. Decant into your
most ’grammable crockery.

Golden

milk

By Jasmine
Hemsley

INGREDIENTS
250ml milk of choice

  • 120ml (if using cow’s
    milk) or 60ml (if using
    any other) water

  • ½ tsp ground
    cinnamon • ½ tsp
    ground turmeric •
    2-3 cardamom pods

  • pinch of ground
    nutmeg • 1 tsp grated
    fresh ginger (optional)

  • 1 date, chopped
    (optional) • a grind
    of black pepper •
    1 tsp organic ghee
    (optional)

METHOD
1 | Add the milk, water,
spices and chopped
date, if using, to a
saucepan. Season
with black pepper
and whisk well.

2 | Bring to the boil,
then reduce to a
simmer for 10 mins,
being careful not to let
it burn or bubble over.
While we all know spilt
milk isn’t worth crying
over, a crusty hob is
no one’s friend. Add
ghee, if using, then

remove from the heat.
Allow to cool slightly,
then strain and serve
in your fave mug.
