You can start with some adjectives as you begin to describe fi lms, but
try to move on to more complete and satisfying descriptions of the motion
pictures that you see.
Motion Picture Language in Action
Now it is time to think about developing your own style and creating your own
tone. In the moviemaking exercises with this chapter, you will work on visualizing
and executing short projects. To do this, you will use the most valuable tools
that fi lmmakers use to prepare for fi lming: shot lists and storyboards.
