    casts. The Doria was active from 1887 to 1903, the Marconi from 1903 to

A useful gathering of biographical and topical articles. “Opera and Opera
Companies” (p.430–435) is the main operatic entry. It says Opera Australia is
the only full-time company; it was established in 1956 as sthe Australian
Opera and is based at the Sydney Opera House. A monthly journal, Opera
Australasia, is mentioned in the article but has not been seen. No index.
