• The fourth and final element of our intro is a List of Examples – let the reader know
  what you are going to be detailing in your essay. It is a road map the reader will appreciate.

Samples of List of Examples:

The detainment of Japanese Americans in internment camps

in WWII and the hate crimes committed against Muslims

in America, are examples that illustrate the violence and

misunderstanding that can be caused by ignorance and

insularity.

The naïve idea that conscience is a stronger motivator than

fame, money, or power disintegrates when one considers

Hitler’s horrific crimes during WWII, and more recently

Bernard Madoff’s billion-dollar scandal on Wall Street.
