provide examples of personification to help students have a good
understanding of this literary term. [Think of stories that your students
are familiar with or enjoy listening to and whether those stories include
examples of personification. Tell students examples of personification
from those stories. Students who used the Core Knowledge Language
Arts program in Kindergarten have heard many stories that use
personification, including: “The Tortoise and the Hare,” “The Three Little
Pigs,” and “Goldilocks and the Three Bears.”]
