Review Activities


Where Are We?
Materials: World map or globe
Help students locate places associated with the three religions:
Jerusalem, Egypt, the Middle East, and Arabia. Have students
share connections between these places and the three religions.

Image Review
Show the Flip Book images from any read-aloud again, and have
students retell the read-aloud using the images. Particular images
may also be shown in order to have students identify important
people, places, or symbols of the three religions.

Domain-Related Trade Book or Student Choice
Materials: Trade book
Read an additional trade book to review a particular religion;
refer to the books listed in the domain introduction. You may also
choose to have students select a read-aloud to be heard again.

Key Vocabulary Brainstorming
Materials: Chart paper, chalkboard, or whiteboard
Give students a key domain concept or vocabulary word such as
monotheism. Have them brainstorm everything that comes to mind
when they hear the word, such as one God, Judaism, etc. Record
their responses on chart paper, a chalkboard, or a whiteboard for
reference.

Riddles for Core Content
Ask students riddles such as the following to review core content:


  • I am the holy book of Islam. What am I? (Qur’an)

  • We are the people who practice Judaism. Who are we? (Jewish
    people)

  • Christians believe that I am the Son of God. Who am I? (Jesus
    Christ)
