- Reread the nursery rhyme and have students say the second,
“Hickory, dickory, dock.”
➶ Above and Beyond: Have partner pairs think of an alternate
repeating line where the fi rst two silly words end in –ory and the third
word ends with a word that rhymes with dock, e.g., Bickory, mickory,
mock.
