The torsion bar suspension pictured here is basically the same in design as the coil suspension. The only
exception is the use of a torsion bar to act as a spring. With this system, a spring steel bar is secured to the
control arm, and then secured at the other end to an anchor welded to the vehicle frame. Then the bar is
twisted via a tensioner. This raises or lowers the vehicle body.
