rope length constraint due to constraint with rope drum.
This could lift only 12.5 MT in a 2-fall configuration while
lifting the material from ground floor.
An instant decision was taken to operate the tower crane
in 4-fall mode for components that were already assembled
and which could be shifted to the pre-heater top floor with
650 T crane.
Another challenge faced was the frequent breakdown
of 650 T crane and hence this shifted the entire workload
on tower crane even during pre-heater top structure
erection. Finally, the assembled modules were dismantled,
re-assembled, and erected as per tower crane capacity and
the total erection of pre-heater top including all equipment
and chimney was completed.
