20 Felipe Gustafson Brain Cancer
Felipe Gustafson, age seven, was droopy and glum. He didn’t play; he
preferred to sit. A letter from his doctor revealed that Felipe was diagnosed
with astrocytoma of the brain stem at 1½ months of age. He came from Ice-
land.
Surgery at that time removed it; it was graded I to II. It had re-grown
and required another craniotomy at age three. Now it had re-grown again.
They brought two MRIs, the latest one was dated January 30, about a month
ago.
The scan of Felipe’s brain showed a 5 cm tumor at the brain stem. (The
scale at the right of picture represents 5 cm. By holding this scale over the
tumor its size can be seen.) The tumor has been circled by the radiologist.
When he arrived, he tested Positive for xylene, as well as isopropyl al-
cohol. Xylene is a common pollutant solvent that is attracted to the brain.
Xylene is always found in brain tumor cases. We did not learn how he was
getting xylene. We cautioned that Felipe be off all store bought beverage
powders and ready made beverages regardless of whether they came from
health food stores, and this included all purchased water. Of course, his
home water came through copper pipes and was promoting tumor growth,
too. His family at home was instructed to change water pipes to plastic dur-
ing his stay with us. No shortcuts were to be taken. No distillers or filter was
to be installed. Water was not to be transported for drinking purposes. The
water used to wash hands, shower and do laundry must not be coppered ei-
ther. PVC endures temperature extremes very well.
