Wendy Skoglund came from Finland with cancer of the brain and liver.
There were nine hemangioma-like cysts in the liver, which were the cause of
her anxiety. She felt the brain tumor was not bothering her, although she had
some facial paralysis. She also had numbness in her left fingers.
Our testing, though, showed there was malignancy (ortho-phospho-
tyrosine) in the brain, not in the liver. Therefore, we focused our attention on
the brain. Chronic headache and tremors added weight to this decision.
An MRI done a year earlier showed a single tumor at the posterior oc-
cipital on the right side. The radiologist’s inner circle marks the boundary.
