DREW’S COMMENT
There was a large amount of pond
weed in part of the castle moat that
made it difficult to shoot a reflection from the
front of the castle. Undeterred, we wandered
around to the back of the castle where the
water was much clearer. I lined up a shot of these towers in the
portrait orientation as there wasn’t enough going on in the
scene to shoot landscape, and used a telephoto focal length to
zoom in to make it fill the frame. Reducing my ISO to 50 and
using a Lee Big Stopper filter blocked out 10 stops of light
giving me a shutter speed over two minutes.
