that if he wants you in his life, then making time for
you is necessary, period. There’s no way around it.
He’s going to have to learn.
Now if you want to give him some suggestions on
how to achieve balance and make it work, great. If
you want to point him in the right direction, cool.
That would be awesome. However, don’t continue
to seriously date him or get into a relationship with
him until he makes the time adjustment and begins
to prioritize you in his life. If you do, you’re
essentially enabling his struggle. You’re enabling his
lack of focus or awareness on how to give his work
and give you proper time and attention. He’s got to
get that together one way or another. It’s not wise
for you to proceed forward with him until he does.
My suggestion to you, if you’re facing this
situation, is to simply explain to him your position
like Alicia did with Michael. She didn’t respond to
him right away. However, after she thought it over,
was honest with herself about her needs, and prayed,
she brought the issue back up to Michael on a latter
occasion. After she had had enough and it seemed
like there was no light at the end of the tunnel, she
