have every reason to try your best to get that job
back every time you mess up. You’re not going to say,
“Well, since I don’t know how to do the job, let me
just give it a rest, and let it go.” Nope, if you think
you can find a way back in and still get that $400
check just for showing up to work, you’re going to
try your hardest to get back in. This is his mentality.
If he can keep getting back in with minimal effort
and once, he’s there, reap all the benefits of what you
provide, then why the hell not? The only person not
benefitting in this situation is you.
You might be thinking, “Isn’t it better to have
someone than no one at all? I don’t like being alone
and all these other guys are worthless.” Wrong. I
need you to remove the false perceptions and fears
you’re holding on to. They’re paralyzing you and
causing you to stay in a perpetually toxic situation.
Your fears and false perceptions are screwing
with your ability to see clearly. This man is not for
you. Things are not going to get better if there are
no real consequences. Your breaking up with him
for a few weeks, a month, those aren’t real
consequences. Deep down he still knows he can
come back. He knows he has you in his back pocket
