The Perfect 10 Diet_ 10 Key Hormones That Hold the Secret to Losing Weight and Feeling Great-Fast! ( PDFDrive )

The average American consumes one pound of pesticides each year!
I realized the importance of eating organic food years ago when I started
waking up several times at night to urinate. I did a blood test on myself and
found out that my estrogen level, the female sex hormone, was high, while my
testosterone, the male sex hormone, was half of what it was supposed to be. How
did this serious hormonal imbalance happen? The answer was probably in my
diet. In men, a high estrogen level can compete with testosterone in the cells,
rendering it useless, and can cause prostate issues, which led to my frequent
nighttime urination. It can also lead to weight gain. As I ate more organic food,
my hormones became balanced and the problem was resolved. In women,
gender benders lead to what is called estrogen dominance. A disturbance of the
estrogen to progesterone ratio in women is a serious condition and has grave
consequences. Estrogen dominance can lead to irregular periods and an
increased risk for breast cancer.
Another source of gender benders is growth hormones given to livestock and
poultry, most of which contain fat-soluble estrogens. Again, hormones found in
nonorganic food are highly estrogenic. Chemicals such as chlorine, cosmetics,
and pollutants around us can cause hormonal imbalances too. Simply put, gender
benders are now everywhere and create a disturbance in our natural hormonal
balance. All these gender benders that mimic hormones act in several different
ways to disrupt normal body functions.
Scientists have documented several disturbing human health trends from
exposure to gender benders, including the following:
• DECREASED FERTILITY: In men, there has been a huge decline in
sperm quantity and quality over the past 20 years. In women, there is also
an increased incidence of endometriosis, a painful disease of the tissues
lining the uterus that can result in sterility.
• EARLY MENARCHE: Doctors are seeing more and more young girls
who are getting their periods before the age of 10.
• INCREASED RATES OF CANCER: The number of women who get
breast cancer has greatly increased. In the 1960s the risk of getting breast
cancer was 1 in 20, and now it is approaching 1 in 8. In cities with
pollution problems, such as Los Angeles, the rates are much higher.
Rates are also going up rapidly in Asian Americans, who have a low
incidence of breast cancer to begin with. In men, testicular cancer rates
have increased 4-fold in the last 40 years.
• OBESITY: Yes, gender benders are making us overweight, too.
