Manabí es la provincia del centro del país y también del centro
del mundo. Tiene una superficie de 18.878 km2. Su playa es de
350 km atravesada por el paralelo 0 en su parte norte. El clima
es sumamente agradable pues se ubica entre subtropical seco y
tropical húmedo con una temperatura promedio de 25°C.
En Manabí, la Ruta del Sol le llevará por pueblos típicos costeños
al puerto de Manta, con un importante Museo Arqueológico,
hermosas playas y, sobre todo, el famoso pueblo de Montecristi,
cuna del célebre sombrero de paja toquilla (mal llamado panamá
hat). Adquiéralos a precios únicos luego de admirar in situ la
destreza de los tejedores.
Al recorrer estas playas, que son las preferidas para deportes
