Middleville dog park
proposed, funds donated
Greg Chandler
Staff Writer
The Village of Middleville
could have a dog park in the
near future.
Village Manager Patricia
Rayl Tuesday updated coun-
cil members on a proposal to
develop a dog park near the
community gardens and Lee
Elementary School on the
village’s west side. Two
donors from the same family
have each offered to give
$10,000 to the project, Rayl
said.
“We’re still finalizing the
design,” Rayl said at the
committee-of-the-whole
meeting. “We want to get that
going and keep that project
momentum going.”
A dog park had been iden-
tified as a proposed park
improvement for the village
for this year.
The council voted unani-
mously Tuesday to move the
proposal to its regular meet-
ing Tuesday, June 22, at
which design details are
expected to be unveiled.
