Spotifyhas grown rapidly since 2006 and faced the challenge of coordinating 30 teams in
three cities. In order to manage these challenges, an organizational model was introduced
that is characterized by flexible structures and is perceived as a prototype of new
organizational forms by many technology-driven companies.

T-Systems has oriented its basic flexible organization model on this. It operates in a very
dynamic environment that requires ever shorter cycles of adaptations to changing
technology, market and customer requirements. The flexible Organization offers a suitable
organizational framework for this in order for faster changing priorities and shorter cycles. It
enables flexible deployment of employees in flat hierarchies and the application of new
working methods.

For T-Systems' managers and employees, the introduction of a flexible organization is
associated with a cultural change that TSI is actively supporting.
