لِ ٱلل

وهعُ

ب
َّ
ٱت

ون

دتَ
ْ

تمْ
ُ
ك
َّ
عَ ل
َ
ل
158 Say, “O people, I am theMessenger of Allah to you all—He towhom belongs the kingdom of theheavens and the earth. There is nogod but He. He gives life and causesdeath.” So believe in Allah and HisMessenger, the Unlettered Prophet,who believes in Allah and His words.And follow him, that you may beguided.١٥٩

159 Among the people of Moses is acommunity that guides by truth, andthereby does justice.مُ ١٦٠

160 We divided them into twelve tribalcommunities. And We inspiredMoses, when his people asked himfor something to drink: “Strike therock with your staff.” Whereupontwelve springs gushed from it. Eachgroup recognized its drinking-place.And We shaded them with clouds,and We sent down upon themmanna and quails: “Eat of the goodthings We have provided for you.”They did not wrong Us, but theyused to wrong their own selves.١٦١

161 And it was said to them, “Settlethis town, and eat therein whateveryou wish, and speak modestly, andenter the gate in humility—We willforgive your sins, and will promotethe righteous.”١٦٢

162 But the wicked among themsubstituted other words for thewords given to them; so We sentdown upon them a plague from thesky, because of their wrongdoing.١٦٣

163 Ask them about the town by thesea, when they violated theSabbath. When they observed theSabbath, their fish would come tothem abundantly. But when they
