Caledonia chamber golf
outing benefits local students
The Caledonia Area
Chamber of Commerce
hosted its 11th annual Tee
Up for Scholarships golf
outing July 30 at Saskatoon
Golf Club.
The annual event
supports scholarships for
high school students in the
Caledonia area. Over the
past 10 years, event earnings
have allowed the chamber to
assist more than two dozen
area students with
scholarships for higher
education.
This year, the chamber
awarded $1,000 scholarships
to four area high school
seniors through proceeds
from the 2020 golf
tournament. The recipients,
all from Caledonia High
School, were Camryn Asper,
Jacob Dunwoody, Madalyn
Higgins and Mackenzie
Reimbold. Each of these
students demonstrate
character and leadership in
the Caledonia community.
“We had record turnout
with 32 teams joining us for
our golf outing this year,”
Chamber Executive Director
Lori Gaier said. “I am so
grateful to our sponsors,
donors, and participants for
making this event a huge
success.”
McDonald’s of Caledonia
served as the Eagle Sponsor
for the event, which included
a special appearance by
Ronald McDonald, who
joined the teams on the
course for photos and games.
The Caledonia Area
Chamber of Commerce Tee
Up for Scholarships golf
outing takes place the last
Friday in July each year.
