For those who survive the trial and recover their clairvoyant sight,
their reward will be to recognize, in the etheric body of the planet,
not Ahriman or Lucifer, but the Sun Spirit, the Christ, just as de-
scribed by the ayahuasca followers of Irineu. To Steiner, the second
coming is not the Sun Spirit's reappearance in the flesh but a gradual
awakening in the human being of clairvoyant vision with which to
see, with spiritually opened eyes, the etheric Christ in spiritual pos-
session of the globe.
