57. Manna and Miracles

RAVELINGaround the country speaking at women’s conferences,
I often share the story of how the Lord lifted our son Andy out
of the downward spiral of drug addiction. Sometimes Andy accom-
panies me to lead worship and tell his side of the story.
Because the problem of addiction is such a common one, speak-
ing about it never fails to strike a chord. Everyone in every crowd
knows someone who has been touched by the problem of drugs—a
child, a sibling, a parent, a friend. Relating our story gives other peo-
ple hope.
Though this is among our family’s most powerful stories of God’s
healing, it is not the most current. It took place thirteen years ago,
and many miracles have occurred since then. God has answered
many prayers.
