Flat File Connection Manager Editor.
To create the Adventureworks Database destination along with its Connection Manager,
execute the following steps:
- Double-click the Destination Assistant.
- Select SQL Server, and click OK. The Ole DB connection manager editor appears.
- Confi gure it as shown in Figure 52-7, where JASHP is the name of your SQL Server.
- Click OK.
Although OLEDB is still the default connection type that SSIS uses when SQL Server is selected from the Destination
Assistant, it should be noted that Microsoft intends to deprecate OLEDB in the future. ODBC is now the preferred
connection type for SQL Server. There is now an ODBC Source and Destination available inside the SSIS Data Flow.
