  1. Leave the Database textbox blank.
    Figure 59-4 shows the BI Semantic Model Connection screen properties with the
    entries used for this example.

  1. Click OK. The BI Semantic Model Connection fi le is created.

  2. To launch Power View using the newly created BI Semantic Model Connection fi le,
    click the fi le’s drop-down menu options, and select Create Power View Report.
    You can also create a BI Semantic Model Connection fi le based on an Analysis Services
    Tabular Model database by following the next steps:

  3. Repeat steps 1 through 4 from the previous set of steps.

  4. Type a name for the shared data source fi le, for example AWTabularBISMC.

  5. In the Workbook URL or Server Name textbox, type the server name of the Analysis
    Services instance, for example, localhost.

  6. In the Database textbox, type the name of the tabular model database, for example,
    AWTabularProject as shown in Figure 59-5
