Failover Cluster Validation Report
The validation checks can complete successfully; however, your results may complete with warnings,
as shown in Figure 27-15. If there are issues invalidating your setup, review the errors and remediate
as needed. Warnings will not stop you from confi guring clustering, but you may want to review those
warnings. To see more detail on the results, you can click the View Report button.
- When you return to the Failover Cluster Manager screen, click Create a Cluster.
- On the Create Cluster Wizard screen, click Next. On the Select Servers screen, sup-
ply the names of the servers that will be part of the WFSC cluster (the same servers
you validated in step 3), and click Next. - On the Access Point for Administrating the Cluster screen, supply a unique name
for the cluster. This is a virtual name that clients can use for connectivity. If you
already have a static IP address assigned for the cluster, you can supply it here, as
shown in Figure 27-16. If you don’t supply an IP address, DHCP can supply one for
you, but this is not recommended. Click Next to proceed.
If your server has multiple network cards confi gured on multiple networks, there will be an entry option for each on
the Access Point for Administering the Cluster screen. You need to check only the box next to the network that the
cluster is confi gured to be on. If you’re not sure which network to use, contact your local network administrators and
they can tell you the correct one.
