database meets the prerequisites to be a member of the availability group. If there
are actions that need to be taken on a database to qualify, you can click the status
link to get more detail on the status. After you make your selections by checking
the boxes next to the wanted databases, click Next.FIGURE 27-19
Selecting databases to be in the availability group.- At the Specify Replicas screen, confi gure your secondary replicas in your avail-
ability group. On the Replicas tab, the primary replica is automatically populated
for you. To add additional secondary replicas, click the Add Replica button. In the
Connect to Server dialog, enter the name of your secondary server and connect.
Repeat for any additional replicas you want to add. As shown in the fi gure, all the
replicas you added are automatically given the role of Secondary under the Initial
Role column.
You can also specify other options such as the failover mode, which specifi es if the rep-
lica supports Automatic Failover (supports up to two replicas in a group) and Synchronous
