13.5 Conclusion & Recommendation:
Based on the above comparison, initial investment is less in the VVVFD concept
compare to conventional system & additional gain of Energy Saving during operating
on 90% speed, it is strongly recommended to consider VVVFD drive for all Air
Slide Blowers.
Without additional investment, proposed system can be implemented and will have
following additional benefits over conventional method:
- Power saving
- Smooth start of motor through VVVFD will increase life of motor
- 10% speed reduction with VVVFD system
- Operational Advantages of Efficient & optimized process control
- Scope for further optimization by optimizing the motor speed
- Dust loading on the dust collector on account of reduction of speed of the
blower, Resulting in the saving of dust collector power.
