General Prescription


BL-18 Ganshu, BL-23 Shenshu, Du-3 Yaoyangguan, G.B.-34 Yanglingquan, G.B.-39
Xuan-zhong, LIV-8 Ququan, KI-3 Taixi, Ren-4 Guanyuan. Reinforcing method. Although there
is Yin deficiency a small amount of moxa on the needle may be used on certain points (the
general ones for the channels indicated above) provided there are no Empty-Heat signs.


Explanation



  • BL-18, LIV-8, BL-23 and KI-3 tonify Liver and Kidneys.

  • Du-3 tonifies the Kidneys and stimulates the circulation of Qi and Blood to the legs.

  • G.B.-34 and G.B.-39 nourish sinews and bone-marrow respectively.

  • Ren-4 tonifies Kidney-Yin.

Hu Gu Os Tigris 6 g
Suo Yang Herba Cynomorii songarici 4.5 g
Huai Niu Xi Radix Achyranthis bidentatae 6 g
Dang Gui Radix Angelicae sinensis 6 g
Huang Bo Cortex Phellodendri 15 g
Zhi Mu Rhizoma Anemarrhenae asphodeloidis 6 g
Shu Di Huang Radix Rehmanniae glutinosae praeparata 6 g
Gui Ban Plastrum Testudinis 12 g
Bai Shao Radix Paeoniae albae 6 g

Explanation



  • Hu Gu, Suo Yang and Niu Xi strengthen bones and sinews. Although Suo Yang is a
    warm herb it is added because it nourishes the Essence and Marrow.
