Explanation

- Ban Xia resolves Phlegm.
- Chen Pi and Fu Ling drain Dampness, which helps to resolve Phlegm.
This is the basic prescription to resolve Phlegm in any part of the body and any organ. It can be
widely adapted to suit various conditions. Many other resolving-Phlegm prescriptions (e.g. Wen
Dan Tang Warming the Gall-Bladder Decoction and Qing Qi Hua Tan Tang Clearing Qi and
Resolving Phlegm Decoction) are variations of Er Chen Tang.
