Explanation


This tablet, already explained above, can be used for epigastric pain from Phlegm-Fire in the
Stomach.


Sai Mei An
(Race [between] Rot and Peaceful [Health])


Explanation


This remedy, already explained under "Stomach-Heat", is also suitable to treat epigastric pain
from Phlegm-Fire.


Dietary Advice


The patient should avoid eating too many fried foods, and also avoid hot-energy foods as
described for Stomach-Heat.


Damp-Heat in the Stomach


Clinical Manifestations


Feeling of oppression of the chest, dull epigastric pain, dry mouth, no desire to drink, a bitter
taste, a sticky taste, nausea, vomiting. There may also be a frontal headache.


Tongue: Red with a sticky-yellow coating.


Pulse: Slippery, Rapid, slightly Weak-Floating in the right Middle position.


This is usually accompanied by Damp-Heat in the Spleen as well. It often derives from
deficiency of Spleen-Qi being unable to transform fluids.


Treatment Principle


Clear Heat, resolve Dampness, harmonize the Stomach.
