(Alpinia-Cyperus Pill and Upright Qi Heavenly Fragrance Powder)

Gao Liang Jiang Rhizoma Alpiniae officinari 6 g

Xiang Fu Rhizoma Cyperi rotundi 6 g

Wu Yao Radix Linderae strychnifoliae 6 g

Gan Jiang Rhizoma Zingiberis officinalis 3 g

Zi Su Ye Folium Perillae frutescentis 6 g

Chen Pi Pericarpium Citri reticulatae 4.5 g

Explanation

• Gao Liang Jiang, Gan Jiang and Su Ye warm the Intestines and scatter Cold.


• Wu Yao, Xiang Fu and Chen Pi move Qi and stop pain.

Variations

• If the pain is very severe add Yan Hu Suo Rhizoma Corydalis yanhusuo.


• If, together with Cold, there is also Dampness add Fu Ling Sclerotium Poriae cocos and
  Yi Yi Ren Semen Coicis lachryma jobi.

Clinical Manifestations

Abdominal pain which is worse with pressure and hot food, a feeling of heaviness and
oppression of the chest, loose stools with foul smell, mucus and/or blood in the stools, a burning
sensation of the anus, thirst, slight sweating, dark urine.

Tongue: Red body, thick-sticky-yellow coating.
