17. Click on cell G19 and push Ctrl+1. Click on the Patterns tab and change
    the color to Light Blue.


18. Select and format the range D21:F21.
    Click on Cell D21. Left-click and drag to the right to select the range
    D21:F21, and release the mouse button. Push Ctrl+1 to open the Format
    Cells dialog box, and make the following changes:

a. Alignment tab: Change the Horizontal Text Alignment to Center. Un-

der Text Control, click on the box next to Merge Cells.

b. Font tab: Change the Font to Arial and the Size to 18. Click OK to exit.

These merged cells will contain the feedback comments to the student, and

require the use of IF and AND functions. Very simply, you will have Excel

generate one response if the answer is correct, and another if the answer is

wrong. Additionally, Excel can generate the correct answer. All of these

responses are dependent upon what text has been typed into cell G19.

19. Now, click on the three merged cells in row 21 and carefully type in the
    following formula.
