ImamSadiq(AS)stated:'One'shappinessisinhavingchildren'."The
Prophet ofIslam (SA)ofIslam stated"Givebirthto many childrenbe-
causeonthe Dayof JudgementIwilltake prideinyour numbersover
the other Ummahs (nations).
Loveforachildisanaturaldesire,butsomepeoplearedeviatedfrom
theirnatural'selfandareaffectedbyanillnesswheretheybringupdif-
ferent excuses, such as the lack of money, for not having children.
However, Allah guarantees that He would give sustenance to all His
creatures.
"BakribnSalchsaid:'IwrotealettertoHazratAbualHasan(AS)say-
ingthatIhadbeentakingpreventivemeasuresagainsthavingachildfor
fiveyears,becausemywifehadbeenreluctanttohaveoneandthatshe
wassaving,lackofmoneywould makeitdifficult forus tobringupa
child.' I asked Hazrat Abu al-Hasan his opinion on this matter. He
replied: 'Do not prevent having a child, because the Almighty Allah
would provide him sustenance'."
Allahwouldeven increaseafamily'ssustenancedueto theblessings
ofchildren.Therearemanypeoplewhowereindifficultybeforehaving
their children, but found a comfortable life afterwards.
Somepeopleregardchildrenasinconvenient.Thisisnottrueandasa
matteroffactchildrenarethebestsourceofenjoymentandamusement
fortheparents.Ofcoursetakingcareofchildrenisnorwithoutdifficulty
andtrouble, butsinceitconformswiththelawofnature,onecancope
with all the difficulties and as such it is worth taking the trouble
involved.
Hownarrow-mindedarethosemenandwomenwhoforthe sakeof
not having children resort to divorce. Is itnot really surprisingthat a
man,andthattooaneducatedoneforthatmatter,shoulddisagreewith
thelawsofnaturesopersistentlythathewouldevenbepreparedtodi-
vorce his wife?
