Big glitch for a gamer
A professional gamer named
Kolawole “Kola” Aideyan had an
unfortunate delay at the Super Smash
Con: Fall Fest gaming competition in
Virginia. Moments before competing
in a semi-fi nal against another pro
gamer, Enrique “Maister” Hernández
Solis, Aideyan went to the restroom—
and dropped his custom GameCube
controller into the toilet. After a short
delay, he competed with a diff erent
controller but did not win.

Riders sleep on bus
A Hong Kong bus company is helping
people get some much-needed rest
by driving around the city for fi ve
hours. The rides are ideal for people
who have trouble falling asleep but
can doze off on a bus. Riders get an
eye mask and earplugs, and some
bring their own blankets and slippers.
Tickets for the fi rst trip on the
“uninterrupted sleeping bus” sold out.

*Real! Briggs’s mom, Jess Darrington, is a travel blogger who writes Briggs’s social-

media posts about traveling as a baby. “It will be exciting when he is older...to show

him our photos, our trips, our videos, and the memories that we made,” she said.

Traveling toddler is a TikTok star
Briggs Darrington has tens of thousands of followers on social media, has
been on 45 fl ights in the past year or so, and gets a steady paycheck just for
seeing the world. But Darrington was born only last year. The 1-year-old
travels around the US (with his parents), seeing sights ranging from glaciers
in Alaska to wolves in Yellowstone Park. He has Instagram and TikTok
accounts and earns about $1,000 a month from sponsored posts and tourism
agencies. Is this story real, or is it a one-way ticket to a land of lies?*

A fl oating dream house
A Canadian couple was so fond of their 100-year-old home, which was set to
be torn down, that they moved it across a bay—by fl oating it. Kirk Lovell and
Daniele Penney’s home couldn’t be safely moved by land. So they raised the
house onto a frame with wheels to get it to the water, then fl oated it on 28
plastic barrels. Several small boats then steered it a little more than a half
mile. The house had to be dried out after the eight-hour trip, but the couple
was thrilled. “It’s just something about the house,” Penney said.

Soda can collection sets record
Gary Feng has set the Guinness World Record for owning the world’s largest
collection of the same brand of soft-drink cans. The Canadian man’s
collection of 11,308 Coca-Cola cans broke the previous record of 10,558, held
by Davide Andreani from Italy, and fi lls his house. Two of his favorites are
special editions designed for use in space. Feng says his dream now is “to
have a can with my picture on it. It would be great in my collection.”
