members accomplish these tasks. Tasks are
actions that you can accomplish and check off.
They give “traction” to objectives and, ultimately,
to goals. Without tasks, you’re spinning your
wheels. Tasks help you catch hold of the pave-
ment and move forward.
When goals seem overwhelming or intimi-
dating, you break them into objectives. When
objectives seem daunting, you break them into
tasks. If a task seems too time-consuming or
