USING YOUR TIME EFFICIENTLY

WELL-RUN MEETINGS

If they are not run efficiently, meetings
can easily consume inordinate amounts
of your valuable time.

Don’t call a meeting unless you
have a good idea of what you want
to accomplish in it.

 Do consider carefully who should
be invited to the meeting.

Do cancel the meeting if key deci-
sion makers can’t be present.

Don’t plan the agenda at the begin-
ning of meeting; prepare and dis-
tribute it ahead of time so people
arrive focused.

Do start the meeting on time.

Don’t wait for latecomers to begin
the meeting.

Do keep track of time and ensure
all items in the agenda are dis-
cussed.

 Do be considerate of attendees’
time constraints when calling an
off-site meeting.

Do end the meeting on time.
