Turtleneck Sweater.
This is a good basic sweater for both
men and women. With this project
you learn how to shape shoulders and
pick up stitches to knit on a collar, and
you learn basic sweater construction.
There is no armhole shaping, so
attaching the sleeves is very simple.
You can try several variations: If you
don’t want a turtleneck, you can make
the sweater a crewneck by knitting the
collar for only a couple inches; or if
you want a cropped style, you can
work the body for fewer inches.
