9 Slip center 12 (12, 13, 14, 16, 17) sts onto holder for neck. Slip rem 28 (30, 32, 32, 33, 35) sts back onto needle, ready to begin a

0 Join yarn and rep steps 3 and 4 but end with a RS row.

SLEEVES


1 With size 9 (5.5mm) needles, CO 37 (38, 42, 42, 43, 43) sts.


2 Work ribbing as instructed for your st count for 3^1 ⁄ 2 inches, ending with a
WS row.
Note:You may want to use a row counter to keep track of increase rows.


3 Next row—Begin sleeve shaping: Change to size 10^1 ⁄ 2 needles, and, working
in St st, inc 1 st each end first row and every eighth row 8 (6, 10, 5, 4, 0)
times, then every sixth row 2 (5, 0, 7, 9, 15) times—59 (62, 64, 68, 71, 75) sts.


4 Continue without further shaping until sleeve measures 18 (18^1 ⁄ 2 , 19, 19^1 ⁄ 2 ,
20, 20^1 ⁄ 2 ) inches from beg, ending with a WS row.


5 BO sts knitwise.


6 Rep steps 1–5 to complete second sleeve.
