Traditional Guacamole
Avocados may be the most celebrated fruit in the world of raw foods. This traditional guacamole is a Mexican recipe handed down to me by my
friend Josh. Roll the guacamole in lettuce leaves to make burritos, or serve with flax chips and sliced veggies for dipping.
SERVES 4
2 very ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
1 large tomato, diced
¼ onion, diced
½ teaspoon sun-dried sea salt
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Juice of ½ lemon
Pinch of nutritional yeast
Pinch of cumin
In a large bowl, mash the avocados. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well.
