Sunny Red Pepper Pâté
The sunflower spends its days following the sun as it journeys across the heavens. It is fun to notice how sunflowers face east in the morning
and west in the evening. This recipe features sprouted sunflower seeds.
SERVES 4
2 cups sunflower sprouts
½ cup soaked almonds, drained
1 large red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1 clove garlic, pressed
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 red onion, minced and rinsed
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons Bragg Liquid Aminos
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
In a homogenizing juicer or food processor, grind the sunflower sprouts, almonds, bell pepper, garlic, and herbs. Transfer to a bowl. Stir in the
onion, lemon juice, Braggs, and yeast and serve.
