Wainwright Office Building
The Wainwright Office Building, located in St. Louis, Missouri, was built in
1981, comprises 234,599 square feet, and is occupied by about 693 people.
In the baseline year (before involvement of the ESCO), annual energy con-
sumption for the Wainwright Office Building was 33 kilowatt hours per square
foot at a cost of $620,301 per year. Two years after the ESCO the annual
energy consumption had dropped to 19.7 kilowatt hours per square foot. Over
the 2-year period, $250,000 in energy costs were realized, substantially more
than the guaranteed energy savings (Figs. 18.3 and 18.4).
Truman State Office Building
The Truman State Office Building, located in Jefferson City, Missouri, comprises
775,000 square feet (see photo). In the baseline year (before involvement of the
ESCO), annual energy consumption for the building was 26.9 kilowatt hours
