York,andinNewYorkCity.Heisselftaught.Therehavebeenatleastelevenone-
manshowsofhisworkinNewYork,beginningin1939.Hispaintingshavebeen
includedinnationalexhibitionsacrossthecountPi'inthelastsixyearsandhave
beenseeninshowsasfarafieldasVeniceand 7 okyo.In 1951 hewasawardeda
GuggenheimFellowship.

awardedhisworkattheannualexhibitionofthePennsylvania.AcademyoftheFine
Artsin1946;HonorableMentionattheBrooklynSocietyofArtistsshowin1947;
andin 1951 hisTheMarketwasthesubjectofapurchaseprizeattheUniversityof
Illinois.HehasbeenteachingpaintinganddrawingattheBrooklynMuseum.\rt
Schoolsince1946.
